The Dark Knight - Teaser Trailer
The scene starts off with a green screen suggesting its suitable for all ages. Two production companies are shown Warner Bros. is shown coming from out the darkness the other company Legendary Pictures is shown after this. The music at the this time is very quiet and the volume increases as the voice overs of Christian Bale and Michael Cane begin. The image which is shown for the majority of the clip is a black screen this is effective in the way that it makes you listen and pay attention to the dialogue being said, as the clip progresses strikes of blue lights begin to swoop towards the screen, they increase and increase as the trailer continues. As the blue lights keep coming in the camera zooms in on the famous Batman symbol which is shown blocking the light behind it. As soon as Michael Cane says "..some men just wanna watch the world burn" the Batman symbol starts to get destroyed by the rays of blue light behind it, this could suggest that Batman could be in trouble in the film. The pace of the music increases as the Batman sybmbol gets chipped away and a voice over of Heath Ledger comes in "starting tonight people will die, I'm a man of my word" he then starts laughing. After him laughing an joker card comes flying towards the screen which could suggest that the joker is the reason why the Batman symbol is being destroyed, The Dark Knight is shown and Summer 2008 suggest when the film will be realesed.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Teaser Trailer
The trailer opens withe a death eater telling Voldemort that there is no sign of Harry as Voldemort waits impatiently in the forest. A dishevelled Voldemort and death eaters then turn to see Harry approaching them. Voldemort proclaims: "Harry Potter, the boy who lived, come to die!" Harry closes his eyes as Voldemort raises his wand beginning the spell 'Avada Kedavra', the killing curse, and we are then treated with shots from the rest of the films in quick succession. Afterwards are shots, knowing they have to get into Gringotts to find one of Voldemort's Horcruxes, Harry, Griphook the goblin and a polyjuiced Hermione and polyjuiced Ron make their way along the cart inside Gringotts before they encounter the dragon. The dragon soars from building, spreading its wings. The music goes from a orchestral tone to a very serious tone which changes the mood of the trailer. The trailer is split in to two emotions it goes from the audience feeling on edge and serious to everyone changing sides
